When trading on our Cent, Mini, and Classic accounts, no commission is charged.
For ECN accounts, commission is calculated according to volume traded—25 USD per 1 million USD of trading volume. Commission is charged for opening and closing a position.
How to calculate commission on ECN accounts?
It’s pretty simple how to calculate your trading commission. Here’s the calculation you need:
2 x (USD 25 x trading volume in USD / USD 1,000,000), where:
- 2 stands for each direction i.e. opening and closing of an order
- USD 25 is the commission per USD 1 mln trading volume
The only variable in the equation is the trading volume of your position—all other values in the equation remain the same.
Here’s an example:
If you BUY 1 lot of EURUSD, your trading volume is EUR 100,000. This is how we found our Trading Volume - Lots x Contract Size. So, we have 1 Lot x 100,000, giving us a trading volume of EUR 100,000.
Now, we have to convert our Trading Volume into USD. In this case, let’s assume that the exchange rate for EURUSD is 1.25000. So, multiply EUR 100,000 by 1.25000, which gives you USD 125,000. Now simply insert your USD trading volume into the trading commission equation:
2 х (25 х 125,000 / 1,000,000) = USD 6.25
So, the trading commission you will be charged for our example trade will be USD 6.25. The full commission will be automatically calculated and deducted from your trading account when you open the position.
